R11SE started in a Denver studio in 2012 with two rules: make the low end move, and let people pay what they want.
The catalog is bass-forward electronic — drum & bass, dubstep, downtempo, and the occasional trip-hop excursion. Titles keep returning to the same themes: gratitude, inspection, aliveness, infinite possibility. It is not party music. It is night-driving music, headphones music, music for the middle of a long thought.
From the beginning, every release was offered as a free download with an optional Bitcoin tip. That was 2012 — years before crypto music discourse existed. It wasn't a gimmick then and it isn't a gimmick now. It's the honest contract with the listener: take what you like, and if it moved you, send back what it was worth.
The project is currently an archive — a vault of the work made between 2012 and 2013. If new music comes, it will come slowly and it will belong here first.
